Paranormal author and investigator Sylvia Shults joins Rob, Adam, and Tyler live this Sunday, October 18 at 8:00 PM Central on Weird Frequencies.
Sylvia is best known for her books on the former Peoria State Hospital in Bartonville, Illinois — *Fractured Spirits* and *Fractured Souls* — the true story of Dr. George Zeller’s compassionate, restraint-free care and the hauntings that followed. Her research was featured on Ghost Hunters (“Prescription for Fear”). She’s also the author of *Days of the Dead: A Year of True Ghost Stories*, *Grave Deeds and Dead Plots*, and *Ghosts of the Illinois River* — and she came to ghost hunting as a skeptic-leaning librarian who overcame a lifelong fear of the dark.
We’ll talk Bartonville, the numbered graves, how a librarian fact-checks a ghost story, and what first-time investigators should NOT do in a haunted location — two weeks out from our live Haunted Heartland event at Boo Crew Haunted House (Saturday, Oct 24, free, 7–9 PM CT).
