A Wispy Shadow Person Ran Across the Room — and Nobody Else Saw It

Jonathan of the “Ope, A Ghost” podcast has investigated some of the most active locations in the Midwest. But the moment that stuck with him happened at the Indiana State Sanatorium — and nobody else in the room saw it. Standing because “I’m an ADHD guy, I can’t sit there,” Jonathan caught movement out of the corner of his left eye: a wispy shadow person running across the back of the room. Not the pitch-black shadow figure from the viral videos — this one was lighter, wispier, but unmistakably a person in motion. He looked around. Nobody blinked. Nobody said a word. “How did nobody else see that?” he remembers thinking. It’s why he wears a body cam on every investigation now — the moment he pulls up to a location, it’s on. “If I was wearing a body cam, I would have caught the guy,” he says of the Sanatorium. He also saw an apparition at a women’s college he was walking toward when it appeared. The camera would have caught that too. Jonathan joins our Haunted Heartland live panel on October 24th at the Boo Crew Haunted House.
